Woodstock Nation, Abbie Hoffman
First edition, first printing, hardcover issue of Hoffman's third book – "a talk-rock album" written "in longhand while lying upside down, stoned, on the floor of an unused office of the publisher" during the five days between Woodstock and his trial for conspiracy to incite riot during the Democratic Convention. A quintessential document of 1960's counterculture, uncommon in the hardcover issue.
New York: Random House, 1969. Publisher's original black cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt; pp. vi, 153, [1]. Illustrated throughout. A near fine copy in a very good or better, unclipped dust jacket. Minimal wear to boards, internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows just a touch of shelfwear, minor sunning to spine with minor chipping at spine crown. A very nice copy, protected in archival mylar.
