Psycho, Robert Bloch
First edition, first printing of one of the most influential horror novels of the 20th century and the basis for Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film of the same name.
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1959. Publisher's original black boards over white spine cloth lettered in red; pp. (vi), 185. A very good or better copy in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is sturdy and square, minor shelfwear to boards and bumping to corners, a hint of sunning to edges, pages toned as is typical, internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows a bit of shelfwear and rubbing with chipping to extremities, a couple small closed tears neatly reinforced with archival tape to verso, faint dampstaining near spine ends. A presentable copy of this horror classic, protected in archival mylar.
