Who Goes There? John Campbell
First edition, first printing of Campbell's first collection of short stories, perhaps best known for its titular story which formed the basis for John Carpenter's 1982 sci-fi horror classic The Thing. Signed by Campbell to the front endpaper and housed in a custom case.
Chicago: Shasta Publishers, 1948. Publisher's blue cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt; (viii), 230, [2]. A near fine copy in a very good or better, unclipped dust jacket.
