First edition, first printing of this political tract on the place of gold in the modern world, from noted Mexican artist and writer Dr. Alt, one of the pioneers of the Mexican movement for artistic nationalism. With the decorative stenciled front cover design by Dr Atl himself. 

Mexico: Ediciones Botas, 1936. Publisher's original wraps; pp. [11], 12-194, [2]. Original book has been rebound into cloth-backed paper-covered boards, both front and rear wrap present. A bit of binding residue to wraps. Pages toned, else internally clean. Uncommon.
