Rare and early collection of reports relating to the US Government and their treatment of Native Americans, just after the Cherokee removals of the 1830s and during the Trail of Tears. Contents include documents relating to "Emigration and subsistence of Indians" (including the number removed and to be removed), "New negotiations," "Indian disturbances," "Fiscal statement(s)," Education and schools," and "Conditions of Indian tribes, relations with them, and description of the Indian country."

Deaccessioned from the Research Library of the Oklahoma Historical Society, bound in green library buckram, spine lettered in gilt; no title page, pp. 251-358 with numerous tables. Boards show light shelfwear and rubbing, typical library markings and stamps, minor foxing to pages, binding firm. Scarce.
