New York: Doubleday, Doran and Co., 1940. Publisher's original beige buckram boards, spine lettered in dark red; cartographic endpapers, illustrated throughout by Howard Willard, pp. viii, [2], 337. An about very good copy in good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains tight, sturdy and square. Tape ghosting to boards and endpapers, else minimal wear with a clean interior. Jacket shows general shelfwear, with some loss and chips near the spine crown, small dampstain to spine, tape residue and abrasions to jacket extremities and flaps, chip to front flap. Presents well in archival mylar.
