Year of Decisions, Harry S. Truman
Volume one of Truman's presidential memoirs, inscribed by Truman to the half-title to longtime Chicago politician Frank Chesrow – "To Col. Frank Chesrow / with kind regards / from Harry Truman 12/6/55." Chesnow was active in Chicago politics for 50 years, served as president of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago from 1958 to 1966 and was a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners from 1970 to 1986. This volume of Truman's Memoirs is the special Kansas City First Edition with red cartographic endpapers, limited to 20,615 copies.

A near fine copy in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains sturdy and square, minimal wear to boards, internally clean. Jacket shows light shelfwear, toning and a few smudges.
