Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, Douglas Hofstadter
First edition, seventh printing of Hofstadter's Pulitzer Prize winning "metaphorical fugue on minds and machines," inscribed by the author on the front flyleaf and flat-signed by him on the title page.
New York: Basic Books, 1979. A near fine copy in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy and square. Internally clean with no markings, minor discoloration to pastedowns and endpapers. Jacket shows none of the typical fading to spine, with light shelfwear and a dampstain to the verso of back panel with light rippling, protected in archival mylar. A very attractive copy, scarce signed.
