The Illustrated Brief History of Time

Stephen Hawking

First illustrated edition, first printing of Hawking's cosmology classic, one of the bestselling science books of all time. Signed by Hawking to the title page with his thumbprint, along with the witness stamp of Judith Croasdell. Judith worked with Stephen as his personal assistant from 2004 to 2014 and was Starmus III Consultant to Stephen from 2015-2016.

New York: Bantam Books, 1996. Publisher's original black rexine boards, spine lettered in gilt; pp. (viii), 248. A near fine or better copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains tight, sturdy and square. Minimal wear to boards with a tiny bump to front corner and spine crown. Internally clean and fine. Slight smudge to Croasdell's stamp. Jacket shows traces of shelfwear with a light bump to front corner, original barcode sticker to back panel. A very nice copy, rare signed, protected in archival mylar.
