First UK edition, second printing of the updated version of Hawking's cosmology classic, one of the bestselling science books of all time. Signed by Hawking to the title page with his thumbprint, along with the initialed authentication stamp of Judith Croasdell and an inscription in her hand "To boldly go...with best wishes" and dated July 2007. Judith worked with Stephen as his personal assistant from 2004 to 2014 and was the Starmus III Consultant to Stephen from 2015-2016.
