Three novels in Verne's “Voyages Extraordinaire” attractively bound together, with a woodburytype photograph included. Contents are as follows:
De La Tierre A La Lune. 169+1 pp, with 41 illustrations and a map by De Montaut;
Autour De La Lune. 180 pp, with 44 designs by Emile Bayard and A. De Neuville.
Le Tour de Monde en Quatre Vingt Jours. 217 pp.+2 pp map, with 54 illustrations by L.Bennet. No title page.
Paris: Hetzel, Bibliotheque Education et de Recreation, circa 1880. Three-quarter black leather, gilt titling on spine, later French illustrated editions. Boards show some rubbing and shelfwear, front cover taped at corners. Internally, foxing throughout with a dampstain to the first 16 pages.
The photograph of Verne measures 2 x 3 1/2" and is affixed to a backing sheet measuring 6 1/2 x 9 1/2" with facsimile signature and French inscription [translated: “To my good friends, the young English”]. Light rippling to the backing sheet.
