The Beautiful and the Damned, F. Scott Fitzgerald
First edition, first printing of Fitzgerald's second novel. All first state points present: no Scribner's seal on copyright page and no ads as seen on later printings. Housed in a facsimile dust jacket for presentation.
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1922. Publisher's original cloth, front cover stamped in blind, spine lettered in gilt, pp. [10], 449. A very good copy. Binding is sturdy, spine lettering bright. Light wear to board and spine extremities, a few small spots to boards, endpapers lightly foxed, a few pages unevenly cut or chipped, owner's information to pastedown with a couple of underlined passages and an amusing sentence written on the last page. Overall, a presentable copy.
