The Complete Writings of Walt Whitman

Ten volume set of Whitman's works, complete with Leaves of Grass in 3 volumes and his prose works in a further 7 volumes. Being the Book-Lover's Camden edition, limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, of which this is number 454. Issued under the editorial supervision of his Literary Executors, Richard Maurice Bucke, Thomas B. Harned, and Horace L. Traubel. With additional bibliographical and critical material prepared by Oscar Lovell Triggs, Ph.D.

New York & London: G.P. Putnam's Sons/Knickerbocker Press, 1902. Bound in in 1/2 vellum-backed gray boards with gilt-lettered and decorated spines, top edges gilt. Each volume with a frontispiece and three plates with captioned tissue guards. In good or slightly better condition. Binding firm, corners worn with additional light shelfwear to board extremities and spine tips, spines rubbed and toned, a handful of minor stains to boards. Owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume, a couple flyleaves loose, else internally quite clean.
