The Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum
First thus, with eight colored plates, four from the film and four from publicity pictures with the characters in costume, as well as full page line drawings by W.W. Denslow. Uncommon, with images that are not present in any American edition.
London: Hutchinson & Co., [n.d. but 1939]. Original dust jacket with matching pictorial boards. A very good copy in a very good, clipped dust jacket. Binding is sturdy, lightly over opened in the middle, a bit of shelfwear to boards. Mild foxing to foredge. Owner's inscription to flyleaf, scattered foxing, else internally clean. Jacket shows a bit of wear, with a few closed tears and a couple spots of loss to back panel, chipping to extremities, protected in archival mylar.
