First state book as denoted by no acknowledgement of New York Times on copyright page, or of Jo Mielziner or Lucinda Ballard on p. xii. In the original Alvin Lustig designed jacket, unclipped. A very good copy in a very good jacket. Binding is tight and sturdy, light softening to spine tips. Light offsetting and foxing to endpapers, a few minor thumbsoils, else internally clean. Jacket shows light shelfwear with chipping to spine tips, foxing to flaps with a tiny pencil erasure, minor closed tear and rubbing to back panel, protected in archival mylar. The signed check is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from JG Autographs as well PSA/DNA. A nice copy.
