Joseph Heller ~ Typed Letter Signed
Typed letter on Heller's letterhead, dated June 15, 1975 and signed by Heller. Addressed to a Larry Sirinksy, Heller thanks him for his letter regarding Something Happened and offers a few thoughts on the novel - "it is...a work intended to touch readers in very private and sensitive areas, as well as to create, when possible, very strong identifications" and also that he doesn't "know how effective the work will be as a remedy for anyone, for it was not intended to provide answers or comfortable solutions."
Measuring approximately 5.5" x 7." Letter appears to have been removed from mounting board, resulting in adhesive saturation, with two areas of loss, one affecting the loop in Heller's signature "J." Protected in a removable archival sleeve.
