The Stand, Stephen King
First UK edition, first impression of King's post-apocalyptic masterpiece centering around a weaponized strain of influenza. Considerably more scarce than the US first edition, the UK edition was released in a print run of just 1,000 copies.
London: New English Library, 1979. Very good in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight and sturdy, faint creasing to spine. Internally clean but for some faint markings to pastedowns where it appears tape was removed. Jacket shows light shelfwear with a minor crease to back panel and tape reinforcement to verso, spine lettering lightly rubbed, laminate crinkle to spine and a vertical crease along the front flap fold, protected in archival mylar. Scarce and presentable.
