Frontispiece portraits to each volume with an additional plate in each volume of Whitman's notebooks. Closed tear to the paper label of volume 2, else fine copies. Internally clean with no markings. The rare dust jackets show general wear and rubbing, chipping, a couple closed tears and loss to the spine of volume 2. The magnificently produced slipcase shows general wear and rubbing. Jackets protected in archival mylar.
