Ninth printing of Joyce's masterpiece and arguably the most important novel of the twentieth century. Published by Shakespeare and Company in Paris in 1927 while the book was still banned in the U.S. This is the second printing to have the type entirely reset, a work accomplished with Joyce's participation. Housed in a custom clamshell case.

Paris: Shakespeare and Company, 1927. pp. (6) 735. A good copy in original wraps. The brittle wraps show wear, with closed tears along the extremities and loss to spine crown and heel, affecting title and author. Rear wrap split along spine joint, faint traces of bookseller's inventory notes at the top of front wrap. Binding is sturdy, internally clean but for a handful of penciled annotations. A presentable copy in an attractive case.
