First edition, first printing of this historical survey of the medium, by the pioneering graphic artist known as "the poster king."

London: Cecil Palmer, 1924. Publisher's original black paper covered boards, blue cloth spine, with white paper title labels printed in black to the upper board and spine; pp. xii, 190, [2], illustrated in black and white and color throughout. A very good copy in an about very good dust jacket. Binding remains tight, sturdy and square, light shelfwear to extremities, internally clean. Jacket shows light general wear, rubbing and toning, with a few minor stains. Protected in archival mylar.
