The Analects of Confucius
Number 1200 of a total run of 1500 copies, translated with an introduction by Lionel Giles and printed on handmade Chinese paper, bound in full silk brocade wrappers and housed in the original rosewood box with lettering incised by hand. Four illustrations printed on double folded leaves.
Shanghai: Limited Editions Club, 1933. Book itself is in near fine or better condition, trace of typical waviness to pages, clean with no markings. Box is complete and shows some minor separation. Overall, a lovely copy of this fantastic Limited Editions Club production.
