Big As Life, E.L. Doctorow
First printing of Doctorow's second novel and scarcest book, flat signed to the title page. Big As Life is the only science fiction Doctorow wrote and, due to his insistence, has never been reprinted. The plot involves the appearance of two gigantic figures in New York Harbor, and the human drama that unfolds in response.
New York: Simon & Schuster, 1966. A near fine or slightly better copy in a very good, unclipped first issue dust jacket. Binding is tight and sturdy, spine tips lightly pushed. The dust jacket shows light shelfwear with some crimping and associated creasing to the front panel. A presentable copy, protected in archival mylar.
