"This treatise...is the third edition of a pamphlet translated by use from the French, containing the natural history, chemistry, physiological effects, and therapeutic uses of Erythroxylon Coca...[with] additional articles and letters of interest on Coca therein" (from the Preface). "This work, intended for the medical profession, is considerably scarcer than the more popular Coca and Its Therapeutic Application (1892)” (W & V Dailey ).

Paris: Mariani & Co., 1886. Publisher's original pebbled green cloth, covers ruled in blind, lettered in gilt; pp. [v], i-iii, 7-52, [1 ad for Vin Mariani]. In very good condition, light shelfwer and rubbing to boards. Rear hinge cracked but secure, small name and stamp to title page, else internally clean. Rare.
