New York: Doubleday and Company, 1974. Publisher's original rust-colored cloth, spine lettered in gilt; pp. (viii), 231. Second printing denoted by the lack of a "First Edition" statement and gutter code of P7 on page 231, indicating a printing date in February 1974 (ISFDB). A near fine copy in a very good or better, unclipped ($6.95) dust jacket. Binding remains tight, sturdy and square. Remainder spray to bottom edge of text block (all second printings were remaindered per Levack). Internally clean and fine, appearing unread. Jacket shows light shelfwear and rubbing, protected in archival mylar.
