First and only issue of this rare and influential beat anthology which made such an impression on Bob Dylan that it was featured on the cover of his 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home. Edited by Ira Cohen and featuring contributions by William S. Burroughs, Ian Sommerville, Brion Gysin, Harold Norse, Allen Ginsberg, Michael McClure, J. Sheeper, Jack Smith, Marc Schleifer and Mohammed ben Abdullah Yussufi.

Tangier, Morocco: Gnaoua, 1964. Original illustrated wraps designed by Rosalind Schwartz; pp. 103, featuring stills from Jack Smith's film Flaming Creatures. In very good condition, binding sturdy, spine uncreased. Wraps show a bit of shelfwear and scattered soiling, very faint and small dampstain to top edge of the first few pages else internally clean, protected in a removable archival jacket. Scarce.
