Interpersonal Diagnosis of Personality, Timothy Leary
First edition, second printing of Leary's first published book, written during his tenure as Director of Psychology Research at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Oakland, a decade before he became the highly controversial director of psychedelic drug research at Harvard.
New York: The Ronald Press Company, 1957. A very good copy in an about very good dust jacket. From the collection of Paul M. Steinberg, dean at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, with his bookplate to front pastedown and signature to title page, else internally clean. Binding is tight, sturdy and square, minimal wear to boards, a few minor spots to edge of text block. Jacket shows some shelfwear, chipping to extremities, small loss near spine, spine toned with scattered dampstaining, protected in archival mylar. Scarce.
