Deathbed Edition. While technically not a distinct edition, this represents Whitman's final arrangement of his work, produced from the sheets of the 1888 edition with the addition of "annexes." Early printing with no date on title page and Market Street address.

McFarland, with bookplate to front pastedown, stamp to top edge of textblock and a spot of minor sticker residue to spine. Binding is sturdy, light softening to spine tips, minimal shelfwear, front board slightly bowed. Internally quite clean, small tear to title page near gutter. A nice copy.
