First edition, second printing of the second in Fuchs' "Williamsburg Trilogy," later collected as "The Brooklyn Novels," and basis for the 1947 film noir "The Gangster."

New York: The Vanguard Press, 1937. Publisher's original brown cloth boards, stamped in black; pp. (vi), 314. An about very good copy. Light wear and rubbing to boards with a few minor stains, front joint cracked at title page but still secure, internally clean with no markings. Scarce.
