Naked Lunch, William S. Burroughs
First American edition, first printing of Burroughs' classic in the first printing dust jacket, denoted by the lack of a zip code to the back panel. Due to U.S. obscenity laws, Naked Lunch was originally published by Olympia Press in Paris in a print run of 5,000 copies. It would be published in the U.S. three years later by Grove Press, leading to several court cases that were instrumental towards ending literary censhorship in the United States.
New York: Grove Press, 1959. Very good or slightly better in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight and sturdy, minor wear. Dust jacket shows light shelfwear and a bit of chipping to the extremities, protected in archival mylar.
