Nausea, Jean-Paul Sartre
First thus, being the first appearance in English of Sartre's first novel under its original title. London: Hamish Hamilton, 1962. Original red cloth, gilt titles to spine, dust jacket designed by Patricia Davey. Translated from the French by Lloyd Alexander. A very good copy in a very good or better, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy and square, bump to top edge of boards, foxing to edge of text block, scattered light foxing to prelims, else internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows minor shelfwear, toning to back panel. A very presentable copy of this existential classic, protected in archival mylar.
