Psilocybin: Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide
[Terence and Dennis McKenna]
First edition, first printing of this classic guide to cultivating magic mushrooms, written by Terence and Dennis McKenna under the pseudonyms of O.T. Oss and O.N. Oeric. McKenna and his brother were the first to come up with a reliable method for cultivating psilocybin mushrooms at home. As ethnobiologist Jonathan Ott explains, "[the] authors adapted San Antonio's technique (for producing edible mushrooms by casing mycelial cultures on a rye grain substrate) to the production of Psilocybe [Stropharia] cubensis. The new technique involved the use of ordinary kitchen implements, and for the first time the layperson was able to produce a potent entheogen in his [or her] own home, without access to sophisticated technology, equipment, or chemical supplies."
Berkeley, CA: And/Or Press, 1976. Publisher's original illustrated wraps, eight full-page color illustrations of mushrooms with numerous in-text illustrations, diagrams and photographs. In near fine condition, showing light shelfwear. Very scarce.
