Second printing of King's first book, his historic account of the 1955-1956 Montgomery bus boycott.

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1958. Letter code "I-H" to copyright page, indicating second printing, in the original unclipped jacket priced at $2.95 with "No. 8471A" and "No. 8472A" printed on flaps. A very good or better copy in a good dust jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy and square, light fraying at spine tips, else minimal wear to boards. Internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows general shelfwear, with a few closed tears, some rubbing and scattered abrasions, chip to spine crown, discoloration to bottom of back panel, protected in archival mylar. Scarce.
