Featuring J.D. Salinger's story "The Hang of It," representing Salinger's first appearance in book format. First edition, first issue with the date on the verso of the half-title and not on the title page. Chicago: Consolidated Book Publishers, 1942. Very good condition, showing some moderate rubbing and wear to boards, a trace of dampstaining, and age toning. Uncommon, particularly in the first issue.
