Full brown calf, covers ruled in gilt, spine with four double raised bands, gilt-ruled compartments and lettering, gray endpapers, and all edges gilt. A very good copy, with light shelfwear and rubbing to the boards, joints, and extremities, bumped corners, and a small circular moisture mark to the front board; the joints remain sound and both boards are firmly attached. Internally crisp, with scattered light toning and foxing, offsetting from the frontispiece to the title, occasional small smudges.
