The Lost Scrapbook, Evan Dara
First edition, first printing of Dara’s debut novel, winner of the 12th Annual FC2 Illinois State University National Fiction Competition judged by William T. Vollmann. Widely believed to be using a pseudonym and giving no interviews nor press photographs, Dara has gone almost totally unacknowledged by the commercial American literary community and has been called “the best-kept secret in all of contemporary American literature.”
Normal, IL: FC2, 1995. Original yellow cloth boards, spine lettered in black; pp. 476. A near fine or better copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains sturdy and square, minimal wear to boards, internally clean and fine. Jacket shows just a touch of shelfwear with the usual sunning to spine and front panel.
