Arion Press edition of Gogol's famed short story. New original translation and commentary by Stanislav Shvabri, with 16 altered and collaged images by William Kentridge. Also included is a flipbook companion volume, "His Majesty Comrade Nose,” which depicts Kentridge in the guise of the socially climbing Nose, ascending a ladder and tumbling down in pieces… over and again. Limited edition, one of 190 copies of which this is 75, signed by Kentridge at the colophon.

Presented in a handmade clamshell box of yellow cloth binding with foil stamping, paper sides of cork pinboard print, and black foam lining; 88 pages plus 28 unnumbered pages for the artworks. Printed by letterpress on mouldmade 160 gsm Magnani “BFK Rives." Also includes the original mailing envelope, which houses two copies each of the prospectus, letter from the publisher, a bookmark with nose stamp artwork designed by Jim Bailiff, and an additional print by Kentridge. In fine condition, as new.
