The October Country, Ray Bradbury
First edition, first state of Bradbury's fourth collection of short stories, signed and inscribed by Bradbury to the flyleaf. Housed in a custom slipcase.
New York: Ballantine Books, 1955. Currey variant binding B (no priority established), first state with publisher's monogram on spine printed upside down, dull red cloth lettered in black. A near fine copy in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy and square, internally clean. Spine tips lightly pushed, very minor bumping to corners. Jacket remains bright and vivid, dampstain to front panel and flap, some general shelfwear and rubbing, protected in archival mylar. An attractive copy of Bradbury's fourth collection of short stories.
