The Outsider. Volume 1, Number 2
LouJon Press was started in 1961 by Jon Edgar Webb and
Gypsy Lou Webb and their publication The Outsider was responsible for
bringing Charles Bukowski to national attention. LouJon would then go on
to publish Bukowski's first two major publications. This, the second issue, was printed by hand on a 19th century clamshell press by the Webbs. It features a host of contemporary luminaries including Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Kenneth Patchen, Henry Miller and more. With drawings by Ben Tibbs and Frank Salantrie. Frontispiece by Malcolm Paul Newman.
