The Outsider. Volume 1, Number 2

LouJon Press was started in 1961 by Jon Edgar Webb and Gypsy Lou Webb and their publication The Outsider was responsible for bringing Charles Bukowski to national attention. LouJon would then go on to publish Bukowski's first two major publications. This, the second issue, was printed by hand on a 19th century clamshell press by the Webbs. It features a host of contemporary luminaries including Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Kenneth Patchen, Henry Miller and more. With drawings by Ben Tibbs and Frank Salantrie. Frontispiece by Malcolm Paul Newman.

New Orleans: Loujon Press, 1962. Original pictorial wraps. Very good condition, with outer edges a bit worn and showing light general shelfwear. Binding sound and internally clean.
