Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1946. Publisher's original blue cloth boards pictorially stamped in black, spine lettered in black; pp. (viii), 436. A very good copy in a fair, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains sturdy and square, Boards show light shelfwear, toning and fraying to extremities with a few minor spots to text block edges, offsetting to endpapers else internally clean. Jacket shows wear and chipping, loss along flap folds, tape reinforcements to verso and some staining, protected in archival mylar.
