The Tibetan Book of the Dead or The After-Death Experiences on the Bardo Plain, according to Lāma Kazi Dawa-Samdup's English Rendering
Edited by W.Y. Evans-Wentz
First edition in English, second impression from 1936. London: Oxford University Press, 1927. Octavo, pp. xliv, 248; green cloth boards with gilt stamped titles, top edge gilt, six plates including frontispiece. A very good or better copy. Binding is tight, sturdy and square. Faint sunning to spine, minor shelfwear to boars. Light discoloration near gutter to the first few pages, offsetting to title page, else internally clean and complete. An attractive and scarce copy of this essential Buddhist text, being a funerary rite intended to guide the consciousness of the deceased through death and rebirth.
