The Weary Blues, Langston Hughes
Eleventh printing of Hughes' first book, a collection of poetry and one of the most important works to come out of the Harlem Renaissance period. Scarce in any printing with the dust jacket, illustrated by Miguel Covarrubias.
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1947. Publisher's original yellow cloth with stamped titles in blue; pp. 109, [1]. A near fine copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding is tight and sturdy, minimal wear to boards with a light bump to spine heel, internally clean with no markings. Jacket remains bright and vivid, showing a touch of shelfwear and rubbing, a couple small spots to back panel, very faint small dampstain to spine, protected in archival mylar. Very presentable.
