The works of Jane Austen, complete in six volumes. Published by Richard Bentley and Son in 1882, five volumes contain a frontispiece engraved by Greatbatch after Pickering as in Bentley's edition of 1833, and portrait in volume 6 as in the Memoir of 1870.

London: Richard Bentley and Son, 1882. Contemporary half blue morocco over marbled boards, five raised bands to spine, lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers. Volumes in very good condition with tight and sturdy bindings. Shelfwear and rubbing to joints, particular at spine ends and joints. Frontispiece tissue guards present but loose (as issued?), foxing to prelims and frontispieces, else internally clean. A nice, early set of Austens works.
