Theory of Self-Reproducing Automata, John von Neumann
First edition, first printing of von Neumann's important work on the theory of automata, which contains the fundamental details of his Universal Constrictor, a self-replicating machine in a cellular automata environment. Edited from two manuscripts that remained unpublished upon his death, the book was assembled and completed by Arthur W. Burks.

Internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows light shelfwear, a few minor scratches, rubbing and discoloration to back panel, protected in archival mylar.
