First edition, fifth printing of Sneider's novel which was adapted into the Broadway hit, running for 1,027 performances and winning awards including the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best American Play of the Year, the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, and the Tony Award. Signed and inscribed to the title page by David Wayne, who played the role of Sakini, for which he won a Tony Award.
