Publisher’s printed cover flat for the Black Sparrow Press edition of Bukowski’s The Movie: “Barfly,” showing the complete wraparound design—front cover, spine, and rear panel—in a single uncut layout. Printed in color on heavy stock with the distinctive geometric design associated with the press’s late-period Bukowski titles. Signed by Bukowski.

The book reproduces Bukowski’s screenplay for the film Barfly, starring Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway, and was issued by Black Sparrow Press in 1987. Cover flats such as this were produced during the design and printing process and were occasionally used for promotional purposes. Signed examples are uncommon.  

Approximately 9 × 12 inches (sheet). Presented in a simple black frame. In fine condition with just a touch of wear to the frame. A striking piece of Bukowski ephemera from the Black Sparrow Press era.
