Idiots First, Bernard Malamud

First edition, first printing of Malamud's second collection of short stories, inscribed by Malamud to Pulitzer Prize winning poet Howard Nemerov and his wife Margaret ("Peggy"). A fantastic association between two Pulitzer Prize winners.

New York: Farrar, Straus and Company, 1963. Publisher's original cloth-backed boards; pp. (x), 212. A near fine copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding sturdy and square, minimal wear to boards with traces of foxing to text block edges. Jacket shows just light shelfwear, protected in archival mylar.
