Mobile Homes 1975-1976, John Schott

Limited first edition, this copy being an Artist's Proof as noted on the colophon – "AP". Officially issued in 350 signed and numbered copies, this copy lacks Schott's signature to the rear board. The images in this volume were made with an 8x10-inch Deardorff view camera in California during 1975 and 1976. This project followed photographs of Route 66 motels in 1973 and 1974, work which was included in “New Topographics: Photographs of a Man-Altered Landscape”, at George Eastman House in 1975 and John Schott | Route 66: 1973–1974, Nazraeli Press, 2014 (NZ Library: Set 1). 

Paso Robles, CA: Nazraeli Press, 2016. Original silk cloth-covered boards, dust jacket with photograph, silk cloth-covered slipcase, lettered in black; pp. 64, 54 duotone plates with a preface by Schott. A fine copy in a near fine slipcase showing minor rubbing. Scarce as an Artist's Proof.
