First edition, first printing of this indispensable biography, signed and inscribed on the title page by Ginsberg to his longtime archivist and secretary Jacqueline Gens.

New York: Simon and Schuster, 1989. Publisher's original grey paper boards over black cloth spine, spine lettered in silver; pp. 588. A near fine copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains sturdy with minimal wear to boars, small stain to top edge of text bock. Internally clean. Jacket shows just a touch of shelfwear. A very nice copy with a nice association, protected in archival mylar.
