Carnival Strippers, Susan Meiselas. Second, Revised Edition with CD.
Carnival Strippers, Susan Meiselas
Second, revised edition of Meiselas’s groundbreaking photographic work, created during her summer tours from 1972–1975 photographing and interviewing women who performed striptease for small-town carnivals. Combining intimate black-and-white photographs with the women’s own accounts, the book explores themes of feminism, identity, and exploitation. This edition includes essays by Sylvia Wolf and Deirdre English, together with an accompanying audio CD.
