First edition, first printing of Kerouac's classic fourth book, a thinly veiled autobiographical account of the search for enlightenment. 

New York: The Viking Press, 1958. Publisher's original black cloth, lettered in silver; pp. (vi), 244. A very good or better copy in an about very good, unclipped dust jacket. Binding sturdy, minor wear to boards, a few tiny spots to text block edges, internally clean with no markings. Jacket shows general shelfwear and rubbing with chipping to spine tips. A presentable copy, protected in archival mylar.
